Signs refer to a recent Federal military style raid on a fake ID ring operating
out of
a popular strip mall. Just looked like a show of force before this big
March.
Harrison was a friend of the working class immigrants and attended
the wagon speeches (No. 166) to personally dispel, if thought necessary,
an unruly crowd. He felt not and told the police Captain so when he left.
However, the police, as today, around Haymarket celebrations were ready to riot.
