THE CITY OF
PHOTOGRAPHERS Directed by Sebastian Moreno, Chile, 2006 During the reign of dictator Pinochet, a resistance movement of photographers arose in Santiago, the capital of Chile. They showed what wasn't allowed to be shown. By doing this, they raised awareness of all the things that happened during the dictatorship. The father of filmmaker Sebastian Moreno, was one of them. His son made this fascinating film about the people for whom photography symbolized courage, solidarity and freedom. |
